Overlook Hospice & Palliative Services brings a world of help to patients and families to help them cope with the challenges of a a serious or life threatening illness. We not only provide support from pain management to emotional counseling and bereavement support; we offer integrated therapies to ease the stress, including music therapy and massage therapies.
You can turn to an interdisciplinary team, all working together for you and your family:
The Hospice Medical Director, a physician consults with the team to assure quality patient care and symptom management, and who can act as a resource for attending physicians.
The Nurse Care Manager, a registered nurse works directly with patients and caregivers, interacts with attending physicians, supervises the other caregivers and leads the interdisciplinary team.
The Social Worker provides counseling, therapy, community resource planning and emotional support during and after the illness, grief counseling.
The Spiritual Counselor works with the local clergy of the patient’s chosen faith to provide support as desired, including direct spiritual care services, if desired.
The Hospice Volunteers, carefully selected and trained helpers who provide respite, companionship, and assistance to patients, caregivers, and family. To learn more about volunteer opportunities click here.

Who Pays for Hospice & Palliative Services?
Most insurance companies pay for some or all of the services provided by the Hospice & Palliative Program. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Fallon, Blue Cross, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim and over 90 additional insurance plans. We will help you find a solution.
How to Obtain Hospice & Palliative Services
Patients and their primary caregiver can choose Overlook Hospice Services. Anyone can make a referral. The patient’s attending physician and the Hospice team work with the patient, family and caregivers to determine if services are appropriate. Speak with a specialist who can help you find the right care, with all the latest services available, even if we do not provide them. Our guidance is free.
Our care is available 24/7, 365 days a year.
